Need a winter car, budget up to £60k

I need a car that will cope with winter - 4WD or winter tyres OK. Budget up to 60K.
Need spacious boot and 4 doors. I don't like the interior of the Jaguar XF.

Tried Mercedes-Benz CLS, but not ideal as I am too short.

Liked the Evoque but it's ugly! The problem is low milage - approx 5-6,000 miles per year, several short journeys with a few long ones. Will diesel engines cope with this such as BMW X3?

2012 MY Range Rover Sport 3.0V6 diesel. You will simply need to balance short runs from cold with longer runs. But this is a nice car to drive and will almost literally go anywhere: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/land-rover/range-r.../
F25 X3 2.0d or 3.0d a bit cheaper: www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-x3-f25//
