Volvo XC90 - Is there a replacement on the cards?

The current Volvo XC90 has been around since 2002, when are Volvo planning to launch a completely new model rather than the minor specification tweaks that they have been doing for the last few years (looking at your comments the D5 engine is very dated and most new cars have chain cams rather than cam belts)? The pricing has been quite reasonable over the last few years, do you have any thoughts on whether this may continue now they are owned by Geeley?

The Volvo XC90 will be around well beyond its 10th birthday. Volvo has recently announced a series of changes to keep it as up to date as it can:

Thanks to its relatively low list price and large discounts, it remains a big-seller for Volvo. This is one of the things that the XC90 has on its side against newer and more modern alternatives, so you can expect this to continue.

There is no replacement on the horizon - certainly not within the next two years. This is because the XC90 sits on a unique platform and Volvo can not afford to engineer a replacement on its own.
