How long after purchase should a new V5C log book arrive?
I bought a small used car for my daughter as a first car six weeks ago but have not yet received the new V5C in her name. The 'one man band' dealer, who operates from home, had provided me with the new keeper slip, and says that he submitted the sale online to DVLA at the time.
Are there delays with DVLA producing new keeper V5Cs, or could something have gone wrong? Should I apply for a replacement?

Typically you should receive a new V5C four to six weeks after the DVLA gets the old V5C from the seller. As it's been six weeks the DVLA recommends you complete form V62 - ‘Application for a vehicle registration certificate’ (which can be downloaded from the DVLA website or you can pick one up from the Post Office). You should send this to the DVLA along with the new keeper slip.
