I’m moving to Belgium and will need to buy a car. How big are the benefits of having a left hand drive car when living in the EU and would it be best to buy before I go or in Belgium? I am planning on buying a 3-4 year old car (Audi A4 cab)

New and used cars in Europe (tax paid) are generally much dearer than they are in the UK to Brits because they more accurately reflect the 40% drop in Sterling against the Euro. That also means that LHDs bought here are dearer than RHDs, unless they are one-off distress sales. But watch the Sterling rate. It may be improving.
