MoT Data for Brighton

MoT data for the Brighton postcode area shows that it's towards the bottom half of the national table.

That follows the overall trend of coastal towns performing more poorly than those further inland, but what's notable about the Brighton Postcode is its size - there are no other Sussex postcode towns.

Most mechanical areas come in with below average performance, indicated by red numbers showing the percentage deviation from the overall national average.

It's the same story with most ages of car. Regardless of age, cars tested in Brighton postcode areas tend to perform worse than the national average and, generally, the older the car, the worse it performs compared to the rest of the UK.

Best performing manufacturers are Perodua (which is top, but with very few models tested), Lotus and Lexus. Bottom of the table are Daewoo, Renault and Talbot, though Talbots are rare.  In the national table, Brighton sits between Taunton and Cardiff.
