Sandicliffe Ford, Leicester

My car had a broken spring which is covered under a Ford warranty. I rang their central booking line and the operator mentioned a £75 non refundable inspection fee. I rang Fordsure who stated that it wouldn’t be covered. I understood if you have to carry out diagnostic work to identify a problem but when the fault has been identified, why make that change? They eventually dropped it and the work was completed satisfactorily.

In 2009 I purchased a used 2008 Ford CMax petrol from Sandiclife Ford main dealer at Welford Road Leicester. Recently the ESP warning light stayed on and Sandiclife diagnosed a faulty abs unit which would cost me £400 to correct the problem. As the car was now 5 months out of warrantry I asked if Ford would be prepared to assist in the cost. Sandicliffe referred me to Ford customer services who said that they would liase with the main dealer and let me know if any assistance would be provided. Much to my amazement Ford and Sandicliffe told me that they would cover the total cost with no charge to myself. I feel that this exceptional service should be bought to your attention. David Monk
