Robins And Day Newcastle

Used this garage to do a major service on my car. I dropped it off just before 9 and I was getting it back at 11. I was pleased with this but the following day I found out why. My air filter hadn't been changed, can't tell if anything else had been done on the service. I only noticed as the following day I was popped the bonnet to see if I needed to top up the windscreen wash and I noticed the cover for the air filter hadn't been removed. You may ask how I knew? Well I have a spider that live sin the engine and it's cobweb hadn't been broken. Upon finding out how to get into the air filter, it was absolutely fifthly, still had dirt and leaves in. Called the garage straight away, got fobbed off by the service centre, de dodged my question why it hadn't been changed. I told him I would be there at 8am the following day and expected it to be done. Upon giving my car key by reception, I was told I had been rectified. I checked, yes they had changed the air filter for a new one but left all the debris in the air filter it's self. Shoddy workmanship, that's cost them. I won't be back and when I'm looking to buy my next car, it won't be from there either. I still have the pictures Robins and Day!

My car went into limp mode, called in to Newcastle Robins and Day, they looked at it and rang me to say it was a blocked fuel filter. Replaced & running smoothly again. Service from beginning to end was fantastic. I've never owned a diesel so didn't know what to expect but these guys & girls kept me well informed. Price is always an issue with garages but it was cheaper than I expected. Plus Tracey knocked off some money from the initial diagnostic charge.
