On the back of recommendations on this site I went along for a quote for the repair of some minor bodywork damage to my car, however I was advised that i’d have to pay £25 + vat for the quote, and before anyone would look at it. This charge applies for non-insurance work, and given it was only minor it was not something I would put through the insurance. I assume they don’t actually want this type of job.

I now use this garage for all repairs and servicing. Very good, efficient customer service and excellent work. Their bodywork repairs are of an extremely high standard. Main dealers in particular, Audi and VW could learn a thing or two about how it should be done.
