Robert and Reece have so much knowledge about the SAAB brand and treat the customers cars as if they were their own. Brilliant work completed honestly and at an honest fair price.

Robert and his staff provide an efficient and friendly service,nothing seems to much trouble for them.This is the only garage I will be using in the future and can highly recommend.

A nice garage

My son's Saab 93 1.9TiD had been playing up very badly, warning lights like Blackpool Eliminations, going into limp-home mode, drinking diesel like a thirsty camel drinks water and more. Three garages in Ipswich tried to sort it out - all failed totally. In desperation my son ran it up to Robert Holden in Salhouse. The car was a mystery wrapped in an enigma, but the work done previously had hindered rather than helped, eg a recon alternator sold and fitted as new which just didn't work properly, uncleansed fuel filters and so on and so on. Robert spent days sorting out the issues and would never dream of returning a car which he didn't think was perfect. The Saab is a future classic and a beautiful car to own and run. My son is chuffed to bits to get it back running like clockwork. Great job!

I read the reviews on Roberts business on this site and was shocked by the comments on the one negative review and felt I had to respond. Clearly the person has a perfect right to express their opinion. When I got my first Saab, I had been using the Saab main dealer in Norwich at first even though it was very expensive. That was until they wanted a crazy price just to fit a headlamp wiper motor on the gold 900 I had. Thats when I became aware of Roberts business when it was on Vulcan Road in Norwich. I have now been using the Saab Specialist for about 11 years now and would not consider going anywhere else. Reviews on other sites have always been praiseworthy. Original parts fitted but not main dealer prices. I've always found Robert to be very knowledgeable clearly demonstrating the training on Saabs. I have also found Robrts employees very helpful and friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending the Saab Specilast for anyone with a Saab. Quality work and reasonable prices.

Not the first time I have used Robert Holden Saab, as in the many years of Saab ownership they have been my turn to specialist of choice. Always had great service and diagnostics which feel like intelligent application of experience rather than the "guesswork based on what the computer says" I have experienced elsewhere. Certainly you get service from proper mechanics and not a part fitter with a laptop here. Prices are always reasonable and always had a friendly welcome and even most recently when I have turned up unannounced with a problem they have done everything they can to get me sorted as quickly as possible. Great guys and a great service.

We have used this garage twice this year now. First time for a replacement key only. This month for a problem with the steering which we needed to be sorted quickly. We have had a very pleasant experience both times. The work force are all very friendly and helpful. The car was booked in one day and delivered. I was offered a loan vehicle which was very useful and cheap. The car was repaired the next day as they had the part in stock. All very efficient. Also gave us the part to bring home and show my husband so u could clearly see what had been done. Will use again for certain

god where do i start about robert holden Saab Specialists firstly this bloke is no specialist! im a keen saab owner & know more about them than him, took my saab 9-5 aero into him because it keeps pulling the power back under acceleration already had the car hooked up to tech2 so new where to start, so i supplied him with the parts to fix car & asked him to give it a once over to make sure there was nothing else that needed doing, he had the car for 2 hole days & done nothing to it in that time not evon put the new di & spark plugs on it like he was asked to there still brand new in the box! then had the cheek to say he couldnt find/fix the problem! it would help if you looked at my car instead of disapearing for the afternoon. nearly forgot the best bit on monday on the phone he seid he had fixed the problem by fitting the new di & spark plugs, then tuesday on the phone he seid he had removed these items from my car as thay hadnt fixed the problem haha everyone keeping up then late tuesday when i pick the car up he seid he hadnt evon tried the parts on my car which was infact the truth as there still brand new in the box in the car mans nothing but a lair complete joke of a man/company

I have had my Saab 9-5 serviced here regularly for the past 2-3 years. Robert is always ready to help, a courtesy car is available at short notice, and his rates are very reasonable. I had an emergency problem with a leak from the coolant circuit, phoned him up- got the car there with several refills from a water bottle; Robert bounded out into the forecourt, diagnosed it there and then, fixed up the courtesy car, and it was all done by the end of the working day. So no hanging around, and I could get to work as usual. Servicing always efficient- I cannot recommend him too highly. The other day I noticed some loose body work in a wheel arch- drove the car there, out sprang Robert; he said, I know what you need- dashed back into the workshop with a spanner and the correct nut/ bolt assembly; did it there and then- no charge of course.

Super garage- visited for leaking heater valve (diagnosed on the spot) and faulty glow plugs; warning light on, always a worry. On both occasions I took the car (Saab 9-5 diesel estate) without notice and Robert the boss offered a courtesy car and the car was fixed within 12 hours. Recent service was also under quote and very efficient. They are very informative and always cheerful, reassuring very good value- highly recommended for Saab servicing and repairs in East Anglia; we are fortunate to live quite close by.

I have serviced my 2007 Saab 9-5 diesel here regularly- they are always accommodating and flexible regarding appointments and courtesy car, and the quality of work and value is excellent. Recently I had two emergency problems; firstly a leaking heater bypass valve (instantly diagnosed in the forecourt), and secondly an engine warning light diagnosed by the plug-in laptop as faulty glow plugs. On each occasion Robert Holden offered me a courtesy car with no notice and completed the repair speedily and at very reasonable cost. I cannot rate this garage too highly and feel fortunate they are so close to my home. I hope Saab survives one way or another as I do not want to return to the expensive and inflexible main dealers- well done Robert Holden!
