After bad experiences with several local garages over the years, I took the car to North End. This time it was an engine management light issue. Another garage had held onto the car for 4 weeks and done nothing, but Davy looked at it and found loads of error codes. Sounded ominous, but he cleared the computer and then found it was probably the evap. cannister. Then came the (very pleasant) surprise. I asked him to do it, but as he knew I was willing to tinker, he advised me to replace it myself, as he thought it may be an expensive case of fault chasing (and the part would cost a lot more if he got it from the dealer). Totally gobsmacked by the honesty, but happy to try. Ran the car a couple of hundred miles and it didn't seem to have fixed the problem, so booked the car in again, but it had - it had just taken a couple of weeks for the code to clear itself. Can't thank them enough and won't willingly go anywhere else in future

Great service, very trustworthy. Only does whats necessary, doesn't over charge and does a fantastic job.

1st class service from the time my vehicle went in , and anything untoward came up a quick phone call from Davy to say if there was something needed doing before he commenced any repair. Received full M.o.T. Pre check then up for M.o.T. sailed through with a great help from this Garage, cant give enough praise for this Local Garage very professional.

After breaking down locally I limped the car to the garage hoping for advice. Went above and beyond to fit the car in got parts ordered overnight and had the car back on the road the following morning. Much appreciated

I took my car in for an MOT and also sought advice on replacing rusted out exhaust pipe. I requested a quote for the latter that was ordered and fit the following week.

In these challenging times the owner went out of his way to help me, for little return to him.

A small family run garage with great attention to detail. They have fixed problems overlooked by the main dealer e.g.-full brake strip down and clean which the main dealer failed to do. They are prepared to tackle anything, and are a very honest garage. They will not carry out unecessary work. They can service most cars/makes /models/age. Because the garage is run by 2 mechanics, you need to pre-book by several days, but the benefit of this is that your car is being given a lot of time when it is in for the work. Prices are of course, a fraction of main dealerships. Being a local business, they depend on having a good reputation, which they do have.
