I was advised about 3 years ago by another garage that my brakes need checking, but due to the Covid I couldn’t get it looked at and I was advised it was not urgent but it’s something to consider in the future. They did my MOT and came up with several things that need fixing. After few weeks I started hearing funny sound from the rear and front of the car. Took it back to them and they fixed the rear brake. Barely a week the sound in the front started again, took it back and they said I need to fix the front brake. My question is why wasn’t this fixed during the MOT or at least when I sent it the second time. And they are not even cheap. I think they exploit their customers.

In 20 minutes time the Leatherhead Motor Company showed up in a local parking garage, took the car and us to their very well equipped garage and gave an adequate response to the vehicle problems. Perfect service, good coffee and a very pleasant team!

You always receive fantastic customer service and the cost of services and repairs are always very very competitive. Felt I had to leave a review today as a dear old lady came in whilst I was waiting for the MOT, very concerned about a knocking noise coming from her car. The team took it straight out for a drive and it turned out to be something simple that they sorted then and there for no charge. One very relieved and grateful customer left with a smile on her face. It’s rare you see such great customer service. Well done Leatherhead Motor Company!!

I have been going to LMC for some years for servicing, mot, tyres and repairs and have always found the staff friendly and reliable in terms of communication and workmanship. On this occasion the flap motor on the inlet manifold had seized. The problem was quickly diagnosed and parts ordered and fitted in two days. I have now taken the car on a test run and am extremely pleased with the result. I feel confident whenever I visit that I am treated honestly and fairly and I highly recommend them.

I have been bringing various cars here for a few years. I have a just out of warranty BMW 535 which needed new suspension arms - Surrey roads! Also a new tyre, tracking and balancing. All done quickly and efficiently and probably for half the price of a BMW main dealer. It’s rare I leave a review but these chaps are excellent. Thoroughly recommended.

LMC has looked after my family's cars for many years. They offer a friendly service at good rates and are very reliable. They are my MOT garage of choice. They have taken on very difficult and awkward jobs on my weird selection of cars with great aplomb. They offer good rates on tyres and most recently sourced a tyre overnight for me when I wanted to stick to my existing model. Friendly staff make the inevitable bill more acceptable.

I've been using Leatherhead MOT for years now and have always found them incredibly helpful and efficient. As with many motoring issues, they tend to happening at the most inconvenient time and Bob and his team have always done their level best to give me back on the road asap.

After taking my car for two tyres to be changed, I noticed two days later that one of the tyres was the incorrect size, which would fail an MOT and invalidate my insurance should I have an accident. I immediately went back and the lady in reception was very helpful, and said I may be able to get a credit note for the inconvenience of wasting another lunch break having it replaced. I called later on in the day to book my car in for the following lunch and spoke to a man there who was rude and abnoxious from the very start of the conversation. After he started arguing with me, I asked to speak to the manager (owner) who was then put on the phone. Neither of these men apologised and the owner told me to 'shut up' over the phone as well as telling me 'you ain't getting no credit note' (quote). He then hung up on me and as a female customer I felt too intimidated to go back. I got my tyre replaced elsewhere and returned the tyre for a refund to LMC. Ladies, I would not recommend.

I would highly recommend this garage to anyone. I have an Audi and would rather take my car to Leatherhead Garage as I find them to be very honest and do an excellent job. I popped in an asked them to change a bulb and this was no trouble at all - they changed 2 of my bulbs free of charge. I have recommended them to my friends and family and would always use this garage. Excellent service.

took my car to get an MOT 45 mins later they cam back with faults which where stupid like seat belt release button slow to react paid them the fee and left on way home passed Shelvers Hill Garage JR Mot Centre and DONT TAKE YOR CAR TO LEATHERHEAD MOTOR COMPANY THEY SHOULD BE CALLED SHARKS

Been using this garage for three years now and they always sort us out. Tyres service bay is exceptional and I challenge you to find a quicker and cheaper option. Same day servicing, Plus I have all my MOT done there, even the Motorhome. At the end of the day I keep going back as they have the service just right.

Having found this garage on this site, I would definitely recommend them. I went to have my tyres checked as one looked damaged. They reassured me that nothing needed done, gave me an idea of how long I should wait before changing them, and provided me with useful information regarding tyre maintenance. I would be happy to bring my car back here when work does need done.

I've been taking all my vehicles to Bob and his team at Leatherhead Motor Company for over 15 years and am happy to say that I will continue to do so as long as I own a vehicle. From MOT's to regular service and especially tire replacements, the team are friendly, helpful and most importantly - honest. In this day and age with cars being so complicated, it is easy for motor shops to mislead customers into paying for unnecessary and expensive repairs. Well in my experience at LMC, I've never had to worry about this problem. Bob's team always explain what's wrong, the options to remedy the problem and the associated costs and then let me choose what I want to do. ALL my family use Leatherhead Motor Company. We started 10 years ago on MOT's, then servicing on small cars, and now I take my X5 for pretty much everything. They are a family business and if you want the kind of helpful, knowledgeable service without being ripped off that we heard about from our parents, you should go nowhere else.

I have used Leatherhead Motors several times for both cars and my motorbike and they are always honest with their assessment of faults and repairs, and quite reasonable with prices, often giving you a ball-park figure for repairs before undertaking them.

I just turned up on a Saturday morning with a brake down, but they still made time to take a look at the car and called be back later with the cost for the repair, which was completed the same day even though they had to order parts. Would always go back.

After years of misdiagnosis misinformation and rip off I have at last found that rare thing a really great garage with modest prices. I have used it 3 times now. The first to mend an electric window which ended up being 30% cheaper than their initial estimate. The second time for an oil leak and service. The third for an MOT My car has never felt better.

My Porsche had a blow out on the local Surrey roads and they took in the car out of hours in order for it to be worked on. Cheapest tyres I have found in the county! At the same time they spotted a fault that hadn't been picked up by local Porsche specialists - even though I had highlighted a potential concern to the Porsche people it was Leatherhead who found the source. Then took in the family Volvo XC90 for a service - accompllshed same day and very straightforwardly with a courtesy car (spotless) provided free of charge. The reception team are super helpful (both Dave & Lisa) and the mechanics are keen for you to take a look over their diagnosis to check everything is only done as required. Best garage experience (including main agents) in over 10 years in the county!

We service both our cars here, a Saab 93 and a porsche 996. The LMC offer plenty of good advise, have excellent facilities and test tools and have a friendly helpful staff. They also have free coffee when your waiting... The standard of the work is excellent and rates are very reasonable considering the expertise they have. Mark

My family have been using the Leatherhead Motor Company since roughly when they began, and without any problem at all. I have seen how well equipped the garage is, from the mechanical and the computer/software perspectives (vital), and how well trained the staff are. I compared their tyre prices with a well known outlet; they quoted some £60 below them, fora set of 4 for my BMW 316. Alsothey have a free recovery service and offer courtesy cars. This is a family company, carefully built up over years, backed by knowledgeable staff, owned and run by a family who clearly know what they are doing. Without going OTT there is little to say, but I will contine to use them.

This was the second time I had used this garage. Perhaps I should have learnt from my first visit when a satnav went missing (couldn't prove it happened at the garage as I had driven home before I noticed it was missing). I telephoned the garage who denied any responsibility. On the second occasion the car was failed on a headlamp washer as they said there was a substantial leak in the system. It hadn't been a problem until we had visited the garage and I felt we would have noticed if the system was emptying quickly. Also we were given a quote for some work which more than doubled when we went to pick up the car. I won't be making that mistake again and suggest you don't.

A very busy garage who always fit you in, kindly collected my car from the school and MOTed it as well as investigating the problem. Have been having MOTs done here for years and have no complaints. Also fixed an air filter sensor for me once and the problem reoccurred a year later, they fixed again free of charge as they felt they had been supplied a faulty part when previously fixed. Very honest, and was very grateful. Can't recommend enough.

I broke down just outside Leatherhead only to discover that my RAC membership had run out. I was reccommended this garage by the chap in the petrol station. I userally use the main dealer to work on my car. Anyway, I called them up and they said they would recover my vehicle for free! Wow! but where is the catch I said. "There is no charge if the work is carried out by ourselves " she said. Fair enough. I waited only 15 minutes to be greeted by Bob in a brand new lorry who explains he was the owner of the business. Upon my arrival I could not believe the operation, they do everthing from tyres, to tunning they even have an ex Porche & Ferarri mechanic. As it was it was a saturday afternoon and the could not get the part needed to fix my car. "No problem said Bob" have one of our Free courtesy cars. Well, the car was better then the one being repaired. I came back the following Monday and my car had been fixed. The total bill came to £75! you cant argue with that. I have been back to this garage since with the wifes car. Its nice to get your car repaired where your not going to be ripped off. I have recomended this garage to all my friends and they too have been impresed.
