I was over the moon with the service we received from John Galley Motors. It was a no fuss, friendly efficient service. I wish all garages could be like this.

My car was due for a service and a MOT when I returned from travelling, and the car had been left still for 7 months which meant the car had developed a lot of problems, I decided not to take it to my normal price because I was sick of spending an arm and leg on little issues that were always found, so my friend recommended John Galley, I told him about all the issues with the car, and he said that's not a problem, a short time later the car was ready and passed the mot. I was amazed at the price and the service he provided was excellent, a very nice a reliable local garage. Would highly recommend it.

The ignition switch on our old VW camper failed. John Galley suggested by the AA to solve problem. Garage a VW specialist; John Galley discussed all options and 'phoned VW parts making every effort to assist. Clear, jargonless conversation aiming to help us, not make work for garage. Very helpful and supportive.

I had a problem with a customer's 2006 Golf 1.9Tdi Sport which unexpectedly produced an Engine Management Light. I phoned John galley who immediately offered to put it on a Diagnostic Machine the same day, and would do it while the customer waited; and also undertook to ring me back with his findings. He did both, reporting poor flow from the EGR Valve but also taking the trouble to verify that the EGR WAS properly working. The end result was he introduced some Millers System cleaner and by explaining that this was a resolvable problem, re-assured my customer and offered further support should he need it. How refreshing to come across the enthusiastic Proprietor of a small business specialising in VW. Contrast his approach with that of the average Service Receptionist in a VW franchised Dealership who will tell you that he can't even look at your car for at least a week and then will charge you £100 an hour labour for the "priviledge" of patronising his establishment!
