County Garage Ltd, Barnstaple

Have been using this garage both for buying cars and servicing every year for in excess of 5 years. Today took my car for a service booked in at 10.00am. I went off for a walk knowing it would be at least an hour. When I came back just after 11.00am the car was still parked in the same place I left it on the road. The chap on the desk tried to tell me they had it in once and then parked it back out there in exactly the same place when clearly there was now room on their forecourt so why would they, a blatant lie. And they offered to wash the car for me, that doesn't happen. Obviously they have become complacent because I return for servicing every year. Won't be returning.

I had difficulty obtaining a part for my car and having searched using the Internet I found that County Garage (Barnstaple) Ltd had the required part. I ordered it online but on receiving the part I found that it was not suitable. I therefore telephoned County Garage (Barnstaple) Ltd who ordered the replacement and agreed that I could return the incorrect part. Unfortunately for County Garage (Barnstaple) Ltd I found the required part elsewhere and fixed my car. I telephoned the garage and explained that I no longer required the ordered part at which I found that the staff member agreed that they would retain the new part themselves and refund my initial cost. I initially thought that I would have to pay for the part as ordered and can only express my pleasure at the service provided by County Garage (Barnstaple) Ltd. I will have no qualms about using this garage again.
