Get a quote before you buy as they're very very expensive! Just had a full service that cost £430. Wish I'd checked with them beforehand as my usual garage charges 240 for the same work and even a main dealer is cheaper than they charged me. Sadly won't be using them again.

CMH have looked after my fleet of vehicles for a few years now. We brought our business to them after working with one of the owners of the garage on a mutual project. His demeanour and candour was such that I knew I could trust the decisions made, and felt he put the customer first ahead of a sale or profit. Given this is how we like to work at our company I felt reassured and immediately switched away from another local garage for whom I felt was taking advantage of our loyalty.

I was supposed to have my car MOT'd there in March of this year. They closed the garage and didn't bother to notify me, so my drive there on the 26th March was a waste of time. I let that go, as everyone and their mate is blaming COVID-19 for everything they don't do or do wrong, so... When they opened up again, they contacted me and I rebooked. The car also needed a rear light cluster fitting, new brake pads fitting and (as I found out once the car was with them), a new back wheel, as mine was cracked (which explained the very slow puncture I had). I provided the parts. The light cluster I supplied was faulty, so I had to order another and start the return process via Paypal for the faulty light. I asked them to write a short email explaining the fault, so I could present this to Paypal if need be. I made a point of asking them to write this email for me as soon as possible. I received it 6 days later! I called them once they had the car for a few days to find out the approximate cost. The receptionist, told me the mechanic dealing with it, he was "just on a call" and would call me straight back. I was waiting to have a shower and go out, so thought I would wait the few minutes it would take for the mechanic to finish the call he was on and call me. After 1.5 hours waiting with no call back, I had a shower and went out. It was then 11am. I received no call over the next 1.5 hours, so called them to chase it up. I said to her that no one called me back, and instead of apologising, she said very abrupt and rudely,"well, he's out on deliveries now - I'll get him to call you when he gets back in about half an hour". I was infuriated that she didn't even feel she should apologise on behalf of the company for their screw-up! 5.30pm came and went with no call. I called first thing the next morning to complain. The invoice I received was between 50%-60% more expensive than the other garages I subsequently contacted. I spoke to 4 other garages in Cheriton/Folkestone. I finally picked my car up & instantly saw one of the warning lights was still on. I specifically told them this light was on and I didn't know what it was for and could they sort it out. I ended up checking out myself, finding the error code, going on the internet and finding out what the problem was. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO DO THAT!! So they drove the car out of the garage, with the light still on right in front of them, and didn't bother to attend to it, as I instructed! On top of all this, I got a quote for some cosmetic work last year from them, and asked for another this year. They quoted me £240 last year and £550 this year!!! Do yourself and favour and do not use this awful company. Google reviews has 25% of their customers giving them 1 star. If I could give 0 stars I would.

I believe Ceriton Motors are a very dishonest company. I had a loan car from them and forgot to pay the dart charge on time. They informed me that they had received a penalty notice of £40 on top of the £2.50 charge, but failed to inform me that there would not be a 'penalty charge' if the bill was paid immediately. In fact I had paid the charge before they received the letter. I informed them of this and they did then state that there was in fact no penalty charge after all. It gets worse. They had my car for over two weeks and were not able to find a fault on the diagnostics. However they stated that they checked the retiring and there was nothing wrong with the he rewriting but I still had to pay them £404. They stated that the fault could be a choice of three different computers units, but they could not tell me which one and the costs of the units range from £400-£1000 and we would have to go for the cheapest and work our way through these. This is an extremely incompetent company. I don't believe that they even have the diagnostic equipment to find faults. I will not use them again and would advise others to find a garage that will not try to defraud you of penalty charges at the very least

I had my CLASSSIC car MOT'd here, they rightly failed it on rust holes and other minor work. There quoted me £1200 to do the repairs, so for that price I did the welding jobs myself and fixed the advisories as well. It took me longer than the 10 days allowed for a retest so I had to cough up another £50. So imagine my anger when they failed it again on something completely different, the exhaust mounts. Charging £150 to repair. No-one phones you on progress, I had to do all the phoning myself. Whilst waiting at the reception there were 3 or 4 people behind the desk with one dealing with another customer. I was completely ignored for about 10 minutes until I raised my voice. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
