What a breath of fresh air! Took my car to this garage to confirm a fault with a door lock, I already had an idea of what was involved as my own background is of a technical nature and so I had an idea of what needed doing, but I don't have the facilities to be able to do the repair myself. I was warmly greeted by the manager and we discussed the problem both before and after his technician had looked at the car and diagnosed the problem. We made an appointment for a few days later for the repair to be completed, upon returning on the said day I was shown the new part that was going to be fitted (more out of my own interest) and left the car with them to be repaired. 3 hours or so later I received a call to say all was done and I could collect my car whenever. On my return the car was parked neatly, no oily fingerprints or smudges anywhere and my bill was ready for me, exactly as quoted up front. Happily I settled the bill, thanked all concerned and drove away, filled with confidence that I had come across a decent, no nonsense, plain speaking and clearly capable garage. Don't expect coffee on tap, videos playing, piped music, fancy settee's or a warm snug reception area, this garage isn't about that, instead you get value for money and a good job done without complications or hidden cost. Well done all.

I cannot recommend Franz and Advanced-Cars enough. Look no further..it doesn't get better than this.

Took my car in after it had an engine warning light, as the fuel pressure sensor was damaged. Diagnostics were ran on the car and they gave 2 error messages, but they decided to not change anything because the engine warning light had disappeared, and they did a visual check and it was ok. Car broke down on my way to work two days later, had to call the AA. Advanced cars still charged me £71 for running diagnostics and having a look if there was any damage, and not actually doing anything, only for the the car to break down in the following days. Will not be returning.

Having tried other garages and been disappointed friends advised me to try Advanced Cars. They kept me informed throughout the repairs and replaced a blown fuse that my local main dealer previously check and said was not faulty saving me over £200, as the main dealer told me this was necessary to trace and repair an electrical fault.

After been let down by a few garages with their prices and service I came to across Advanced Cars in Swindon. When you find a gem of a garage like this it is piece of mind that any car trouble will be solved at a reasonable price and more importantly no unnecessary work will be done. I also had an issue with my Golf. All four injectors went so I took it to Advanced Cars. He thought this was suspicious and found out this model was a recall. He then took it to VW and they fixed it for free. How many other garages would have done the work and this would have cost me over £1200. Disappointed with VW but that's a different matter! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

This is a small independent garage, which I have used since the mid 90s and always received honest reliable service. There is no attempt to 'sell' you work that is not needed, but you always get notification of any items that you need to keep an eye on or might cause you trouble.

Really good independent garage, have been using them for years. Many of my friends also use them. Trustworthy and friendly as well.
