Why is my Ford Mondeo misfiring and making a tapping noise?
I've got Ford Mondeo 2.0 petrol and it stopped dead. I got it going again and managed to get it to a carpark, but could hear a tapping sound and it was misfiring. What could this be?
If this is a 2001 - 2007 Mondeo 2.0 the reason is probably that the inlet manifold swirl flaps have become detached.
