Should I get rid of my Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI because of the model's chain cam issues?

I have a Skoda Octavia 1.2 TSI which was built in November 2011, which I bought 6 months ago with 40,000 miles on the clock. Having heard about the chain cam issues, repeated turbo failures, and head gasket problems, I'm worried the car won't see 60,000 miles. Would it be a good idea to change the whole cam chain kit and drive it or get rid of it and buy a new car?
Thing is, if you got a good timing chain in the first place then it shouldn't be a problem and if it's made 40,000 miles without starting to tick there's a good chance it will be okay. The turbo problem comes from people switching off their engines when the turbo is extremely hot. This carbonises the oil in the turbo oil feed and oil return, partially blocking them and starving the turbo of oil.
