My Jaguar XF needs a new engine at 100,000 miles - what should I do?

I have engine failure on my 2009 3-litre diesel Jaguar XF at 100,000 miles. The car was fine when taken to the dealer who have serviced the car from new. The valves appear to be hitting the pistons and the dealer says the car needs a new engine. Can you please advise a course of action?
Reads like timing belt failure or stretching. It's possible that the existing engine can be rebuilt by a member of www.fer.co.uk/ I'll put a note into the carbycar entry that the belts needs to be changed well before 100,000 miles.
