What's the cause of my BMW 5 Series notchy gearchange?

The gear change on my BMW 5 Series auto is a bit jerky and tends to 'grumble' a bit a low speeds. It's a 2007 model and has done 118,000 miles - the transmission oil has never been changed. Is it worth doing anything about it?
Get it to a member of www.fedauto.co.uk/ A change of ATF may help, but stickiness is usually due to a problem with the servo valve block that controls the gearchanges. Possibly a worn seal.
