Just bought a used car, should I get it serviced?

I have bought a six month old Kia Ceed 3 diesel from a well known car retail organisation in Burnley. The car has covered 6000 miles and has been HPI checked. All appears ok on the HPI and the V5 document reveals the one previous owner was a car rental company from Exeter. What concerns me is that the rental company being in Exeter is a good 250 miles from Burnley. Would you recommend a service on the car now, as I cannot be sure the mileage is genuine.
The mileage will be genuine, so have it serviced at 12 months old or 12k miles, whichever comes first. The seller probably buys all the ex rental cars from this particular rental company wherever they were based. But obviously you do want to make sure that the seven year warranty is intact and that nothing has been done or will be done to void this.
