I've just bought a 1989 Range Rover - what should I have checked to ensure reliability in the long term?

I have recently purchased a 1989 Range Rover with the 3.5 EFI V8 engine. The car is in lovely condition and has covered only 46,000 miles. I plan to keep it for a very long time. The car had a service while in the hands of the last owner in March this year, where the oil and filter were changed, but I still want to have the car checked over and serviced at my local specialist. What things should I get done now to keep everything in good order for the long term?
Find an enthusiastic Land Rover / Range Rover specialist with tidy premises (not a flake) and give him carte blanche within reason.
