Should I have the timing chain replaced on my 13-year-old Ford Mondeo?

I have a 13-year-old Mondeo that is running well but I am wondering about the timing chain. If this goes the car is scrap. Should I have it changed and is there anything that should be changed at the same time, and do you have a rough idea of price?
If it's a Mk III it has a timing chain whether petrol or diesel. As long as the oil is kept clean then the chain should last the life of the car. If it is a Mk II it has a belt, and that is best changed at around six years / 60,000 miles using the full Ford kit that includes a new tensioner. That usually costs around £400 - £500, though a half measure of a belt only could be done for around £200.
