Should I change the gearbox oil on my Volvo?

I have a 1999 Volvo V70 automatic which I've owned since new. To the best of my knowledge, the gearbox oil has never been changed. I can't find reliable advice on this, even from my garage, and the handbook doesn't mention it. I have experienced no problems with the gearbox. Should this oil be changed?
If it has a dipstick, check the colour of the fluid. If it's black, get it changed. This needs to be done at precisely the right temperature and pressure, so I advise having it changed by a member of www.fedauto.co.uk.
