Do I need a new car?

My Ford Mondeo diesel 05 ghia x has now got 198,000 on the clock, in the last year in spent £2000 on the steering starter motor and a few smaller bits and pieces. Now the clutch is failing and the ford dealer ship have quoted around £650 to carry out the works, the font disks and pads also need replacing. Should I now just the throw in the towel and get a new second hand Mondeo? I have had great value out of my car since buying it 5 years ago with 20000 on the clock.
There is no point in spending money going for a record mileage. I'd move on.
