Race Retro celebrates 70 years of Formula One with 'The Greatest Grid'

Published 15 January 2020

Next month's Race Retro will celebrate 70 years of Formula One. A new display called ‘The Greatest Grid’ will feature ground-breaking F1 cars as well as the machines driven to victory by racing legends.

Held from 21-23 February 2020 at Warwickshire’s Stoneleigh Park, visitors to the show will see a display of F1 cars that raced back in 1950 as well as World and Constructors' Championship winning cars that are being raced today.

Show director Lee Masters said, 'Regardless of what type of motorsport you are into, there is no denying the power of F1 and the significant achievements that have been made, both on a technical and performance level.

'The Greatest Grid will showcase the work of Formula One drivers, designers, and engineers from most famous manufacturers such as Williams, McLaren, Lotus and Mercedes,' said Masters.

The celebratory display will be part of the Hall of Fame, the centrepiece of the show, which will also host the live stage with special guests and the pride of the paddock competition.

Race Retro also boasts 250 specialist exhibitors as well as a two-day competition and classic car sale by Silverstone Auctions. With the live rally stage in operation on Saturday and Sunday, there is plenty to entertain every motorsport fan.

Tickets are on sale for the show, held from February 21-23 2020 at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire, with free parking for all visitors. For the latest updates and ticket information, visit www.raceretro.com.
